How to get started with rucoin

Step 1

Get a RuCoin Wallet

The official RuCoin client is a program you can install on every Windows computer. Simply download and install it. Client allows you to receive, send and store your RuCoin coins.
It will automatically create a wallet for you and start downloading the transaction history.

Once your wallet is set up, you'll get your first RuCoin address, which means you're ready to receive, send and store RuCoin coins!

Step 2

Get a software for mining

Download Guiminer a programm for mining use GPU and CPU (poclbm, ufasoft, phoenix)

Step 3

Set up miner

Once you have your client set up and you have registered with a pool, the next step is to set up the actual miner.

Set up Guiminer:
host: focal.rucoin.org
port: 8344
username: worker username (not account username)
password: worker password (not account password )

Pool runs on host IP focal.rucoin.org, port 8344.

An example for the command line options to run poclbm and phoenix are included below:

Windows examples:
poclbm.exe -d0 --host=focal.rucoin.org --port=8344 --user=worker.name --pass=XXXX
phoenix.exe -u http://worker.name:focal.rucoin.org:8344/ -k poclbm DEVICE=0
